This tour provider has taken action to address one or more issues (whether environmental, social or cultural) which will contribute positively to the long term viability of the destination and hence their site displays a Caring for the destination rating.
Main area of focus in Caring for the Destination:
Dimitris horse riding is the only riding school in Corfu which uses rescued horses. They receive love and care at the centre, which has given them a chance at life again.
Detailed description of the Caring for the Destination Initiative:

Dimitris' love for nature and animals prompted him to start a horse riding school in Avlaki (near Kassiopi located further north), in a peninsula famed for its natural beauty. Life has taught him that to succeed, you have to love what you do, and make your hobby your work. Dimitris Horse Riding is the only riding school on the island that has been established with rescued horses.

The once traumatised animals are given love, care and training. Participants on this tour actually contribute to the care and upkeep of these horses, and perhaps to saving and rehabilitating more of them.
