Corfu Music: Philharmonics in the Streets of Greece

Corfu is the island of Musicians and Music has a long tradition in Corfu going back to the time of the Venetian Rule. Today, almost every child learns how to play an instrument and Music is everywhere.
Corfu has around 17 philharmonic societies and over 80 professional and amateur orchestras, which can be seen performing at local celebrations, especially during the Corfiot Easter Celebrations in Corfu Town.
