Weather in Corfu
Corfu is the northernmost of all the Greek Islands. It enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate, which is characterised by hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Due to its location, temperatures in Corfu do not rise as high as some of the more southern islands, and it remains pleasant throughout the year, with plenty of sunshine.

April-June
With the beginning of Spring, although the rain does not subside substantially, sunny warm days become part of the daily expectation. With daily temperatures in Corfu around 22°C in April, Corfu is definitely warmer than most other vacation destinations in Europe at this time of the year. May 1st is the official 'start' of the tourist season, and with good reason. The average temperature in May usually sits around 22-28°C and the night temperature can often drop to 18°C.
By June, the tourist season is still not in full force and beaches are not typically overcrowded yet. The average daily temperature range from 25-30°C and about 18-25°C at night. Rain is very unlikely, but one cloudy day a week can be expected. The sun shines 13-15 hours per day.
July-September
July is possibly the hottest month in Corfu. Temperatures are from 28-32°C and in the night drop to 22-30°C. The weather stays hot throughout August and the island maintains the same traffic as in July. Because of the steady warm weather, the sea water is quite warm and not as refreshing as in the earlier months.
Things have a tendency to cool down in September, both in terms of temperature and travellers. Temperatures drop to 26-30°C during the day and in the night to 20-26°C. The sun shines 13-14 hours per day.
October- November
Temperatures remain around 23°C, with the water still relatively warm and the sun shining 9-11 hours per day. November 1st officially marks the end of the tourist season. Almost all shops, restaurants, and Corfu hotels are closed for the season, and all beaches are deserted.
December-March
Winter temperatures typically stay around 12-14°C and generally do not drop below 10°C. Often Corfu is filled with cloudy days, and several subsequent rainy days. The sun shines about 8-10 hours per day and the beaches are completely deserted, but still look beautiful and peaceful. Occasionally, villages with high altitude do receive some overnight frost, or even snow, but this typically does not last for more than a few hours.
